2024 Youth Video Contest
Communities that Care of Greater Downingtown (CTC) is excited to host its 4th annual alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention youth video contest. All 7th - 12th graders who reside in the Downingtown Area school district are invited to submit their videos that fit with this year's theme "Prevention Starts with Me".
CTC of Greater Downingtown knows that most youth do NOT use drugs and alcohol and they wish to celebrate that through this video contest. The Downingtown Area School District Pennsylvania Youth Survey (PAYS) data supports this statement as 85.6% of DASD youth said that they had not used alcohol in the past 30 days and 92.3% said that they had not used marijuana in the past 30 days (PAYS 2021).
CTC of Greater Downingtown is asking youth to produce a short video to share how their healthy lifestyle choices can also influence others to not use drugs or alcohol. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st - 3rd place winners, ranging from $250 - $150. The contest submission deadline is Friday, May 3rd, 2024 and the contest rules and permission form can be found here:
